Case Presentations
The following are guidelines for case presentation once your abstract is accepted

1. Presentation Content
-
Present the case as it happened in real life.
-
Emphasis on issues relevant to the central problem of the case
-
Skip quickly through excessive history or investigations to arrive at your target central problem
-
Strictly Avoid theoretical reviews or textbook summaries in your presentation.
-
Do not use a general introduction slide to the clinical condition, as our target audience are all Paediatric Urologists

2. Presentation Format
-
Keep the case concise – 7–10 minutes maximum for case narration
-
Prepare a structured case presentation:
-
Title slide - Do not disclose the diagnosis or important aspects of the case
-
Patient demographics & history
-
Clinical findings
-
Investigations - please include all relevant scans especially images, if there are many then try to summarise in a table
-
Management options considered
-
Treatment provided
-
Outcome (if available)
-
Learning points
-
3. Faculty discussion will occur during and after the case
- They may interrupt you during the case so please bear with them to get clarifications
-
It would benefit you the most if you keep less text in your presentation
-
Do not discuss theory during your presentation unless it is a contextual / theoretical problem
-
Always stay relevant to your case

4. Slides & Media
-
Use PowerPoint/Keynote with clear fonts and minimal text. Use 20+ font size
-
Use high-quality clinical images, radiology, and operative photos/videos where appropriate.
-
Ensure patient confidentiality – remove names, hospital IDs, and identifying features.
-
Avoid animations or heavy design elements that distract from the case.
5. Style of Delivery
-
Highlight the decision points: “At this stage, what would you do?”
-
Be prepared for faculty to interrupt at any point with questions or comments.
-
Do not feel pressured to give all answers; this is a learning discussion.
6. Time Discipline
-
Faculty-Chairpersons will ensure a balanced discussion.
-
If a topic becomes repetitive or extended, please move forward promptly when requested.
-
Respect the session timing to allow every case to be presented.
-
Strictly avoid repetition of what has already been discussed in the meeting
7. Professionalism
-
Use only de-identified patient data and obtain necessary consents.
-
Maintain a constructive tone – differences of opinion are welcome, but discussions should be academic and respectful.
-
Avoid promoting specific products, devices, or companies.
8. Submission & Technical Support
-
Upload your presentation (PPT/PDF/Keynote) at least 3 hours before your session at the speaker desk.
-
Test all videos and special formats in advance with AV support.
-
Carry a backup on a USB drive.

✅ Remember: The goal is to share your case, stimulate discussion, and highlight different approaches in Paediatric Urology — not just to showcase results.
